Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, the French capital is one of my favourite landmarks in the world to photograph. The stunning iron structure tower was constructed in 1889 is 325 m (1,063 ft) high which is equivalent to about 81 levels in a conventional building.

I have visited Paris twice and during every visit the Eiffel tower seems like a magnet to me; attracts me towards its vast structure with an old Parisian charm. As it is one of the tallest structures, you could see the tower from almost every corner in Paris and it is just a beauty to photograph.

Here is some history. The grand old structure was built between 1887 and 1889, and was named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel. It was used as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution. Since then the Eiffel tower is the most visited paid monument in the world.
